The Rare Breed is bottled in barrel proof, i.e. directly at cask strength without dilution with water - in this case at a strong 58.4% vol. For this bottling, bourbons of different ages (usually between 6, 8 and 12 years) are married together, which are matured exclusively in new, heavily burnt American white oak casks. This barrel selection ensures an intense variety of aromas with vanilla, toffee, spicy oak and a striking depth. Bottled in natural color and at full cask strength, Wild Turkey Rare Breed is an authentic Kentucky straight bourbon that offers connoisseurs and lovers of strong whiskeys an intense taste experience. The elegant gift box (GB) also makes it an ideal gift.
Tasting notes: Color: Deep amber with golden reflections. Nose: Vanilla, honey, caramel, orange zest, oak spice and a hint of spices. Taste: Full-bodied and powerful, with toffee, vanilla, toasted oak, spices, rye spice and slightly nutty notes. Finish: Long, warm and intense, with caramel, wood and lingering spice.
